Hi, I'm Shirley, your host, and I live with my husband in the house attached to View With A Room. We just love this beautiful part of our country, and feel privileged to be able to share its unique beauty with you. It is my goal to give you full privacy and space to enjoy these wonderful surroundings, while being available if you need me. This stay is all about you. I am happy to help with advice, local tips, or just for a friendly chat, and just as happy to stay completely out of your way, to let you relax as you need best.

Beach Walks Explore Motukiekie Beach at your doorstep, a destination of choice for nature photographers, or drive 20 minutes north to visit the famous Pancake Rocks at Punakaiki - a must-see for all visitors to NZ.
Hiking NZ's newest Great Walk, the Paparoa Track, is on our doorstep - 20 minutes to the Punakaiki entrance or 33 minutes to the Blackball entrance. We can help with transport for this. Other tracks are near as well.
Scenic Drive Pack a picnic and your camera, look out for penguins and seals, and see why this stretch of road has made it to Lonely Planet's Top 10 Coastal Drives in the world!
Local Culture Enjoy a jam session with locals, find a treasure at a weekend market, fossick for gold, fine dine at a choice of eateries or get fish 'n chips to eat on the beach - try life the West Coast way!

Check in time is after 2pm and check out by 11am. Please advise us if you have dietary restrictions.
We offer a full refund for cancellations over 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, we offer a full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, as long as they are at least 14 days before check-in. After that, we offer a 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. Within a week of check-in, we are not able to offer a refund for any cancellations. We strongly recommend you get travel insurance as protection against late cancellation penalties, as well as natural events which may impact your travel.
