For year-round comfort, the suite features an efficient heat pump that keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter. A premium wall-mounted sun umbrella lets you choose between basking in the sun or relaxing in cool shade. You may even spot our resident weka or, if you’re lucky, the world’s smallest and one of the rarest dolphins, the Hector’s dolphin.
Young Native Coastal Forest
In front of the suite, we’ve planted over 1,000 mostly native trees to help regenerate the coastal bush that once grew here. They’re still young now, but a simple path winds through the planting, offering a tranquil spot to walk and picture the forest it will one day become.

In the evening, choose between dining out in nearby Runanga, Greymouth, or Punakaiki, or ordering our optional three-course dinner to enjoy in-suite as the sun sets over the Tasman Sea.

Access is via your own entrance, just a few steps up from the parking area, opening directly onto your private deck with uninterrupted ocean views. From there, it’s only a short walk down the driveway or through the garden, across the quiet coastal road, to reach the beach.
